Nice but get rid of the background music, it's distracting and serves no purpose other than to raise peoples blood pressure !
Very nice explanation youtube.com/@icumanagement?si=PXifcBztwS9xJSn1
So the implication as I heard it is that PVCs are indicative of a "diseased heart". Really? WTF That's total BS.
Thank you so much
Very good presentation
Such a great explanation!!! Lights went off in a big way! Thank you for such a clear presentation.
Silent migraine :(
ED nurse for 13 years and these are GREAT for keeping those skills real sharp!!
I have such bad day drowsiness due to my sleep apnea I fall asleep at work sometimes, I cannot wait to get this machine
Wonderful lecture
If the monitor is showing a vt we should check the central pulse ryt
this was so helpful thank you so much!
Informative but the music is very annoying.
❤❤❤
Mark...the best explanation I have ever heard...great job!!!
Always on the $$$ Mark! Excellent job!
This is such an upbeat video for describing the tools you'll probably use on ~really bad~ days
Nice video! Can you provide some detailes how uremia, high creatinine, etc. (some abnormal lab values in people who has ckd) present in CKD?
Thanks! This video really helped me understand
Some sources say that the longitudinal muscle relaxes above the bolus, allowing it to stretch, but you mentioned that it contracts. What are your comments on this?
Hi, around 8:25-8:35 in the video, the main job description of protein C & protein S is the degradation of factors Va and VIIIa, the indirect consequence of which is indeed downregulation of activation of prothrombin into thrombin, but it’s useful to know the regulation points
Excellent presentation - however no mention of the role of calcium deposition within the plaque formation (?)
Hi, today I had an exam and the question was “how does alcohol affect the mucosal layer for gastric ulcer making?” So I talked about the surfactant. My teacher said that there’s no evidence of that on the GI track, just on the lungs. So I wanted to know what was the biography of that statement.
I also did that with a squirrel who appeared to be dead, with no real contact
I have never given needles to anyone, nor was I trained on these on a human being. I did help revive a woman previously said also did that for my eldest son, but without using CPR.
Do I have to purchase these devices myself?
At 5.40, first need to give second dose of defibrillation, then only give epinephrine, as patient is still in VF after first dose of defibrillation.
I think I'd be more adept at learning Mandarin than cardiac stuff. Honestly, any time someone points out this rhythm it just looks arrhythmic to me.
thank you!!! pjcs always gets me but your explanation really helps
Great video. Would these standards apply to India?
My husband has Barrett's Esophagus, diagnosed in 2020. He is 75 (as of 3-20-24), had Parkinson's Disease diagnosed when he was 61. He is very thin & has had GERD for the past 31 years. Since 2021, he has been undergoing radial frequency ablation, cryoablation, dilations, biopsies, and a 4.5 hour endoscopic submucosal dissection of the esophagus in May of 2023. Per your video my husband does not have 2 of the 3 conditions that lead to GERD. He is not morbidly obese nor does he eat fatty meals. He does like to drink a diet ginger beer a couple times a week. So I guess he has a hypotonic circular muscle at the lower esophageal sphincter that has caused his Barrett's esophagus. He also has diastasis recti, just learned of this when he had bilateral hernia repair done in Jan. of 2024. Wondering if diastasis recti contributes to a thinning of the muscle tissue around the stomach or widening of the Angle of HIS even in a thin person? (He is 5 ft 8 inches & weighs 140 pounds.) Very interesting to learn that enzymes not acid is what causes Barrett's Esophagus and not the acid because the Pantoprazole that he takes does not stop reflux, it just reduces symptoms of acid in the esophagus.
Amazing, Thank you! 🎉
Irritating popping sounds
Thanks for nice explanation.
please fix the mic!
Why are we not pacing right away since the pt is unstable with a systolic of 80
Thank you so much for such a great video lesson! It makes so much sense to me now!!! I finally learned how to understand it by heart and logic, rather than just by mnemonics anymore!!!! That feeling feels good!! Thank you!!
Very insightful ! Many thx for sharing knowledge :)
I would still give O2 to the patient…oxygen consumption goes up with increased myocardial workload…
In Megacode #4 on this channel, a woman has a witnessed in-hospital cardiac arrest while on a monitor showing V. fib., and the "correct" next step is stated to be "begin CPR" instead of defibrillate (which is what I would do). Internal consistency is important.
Low carb high protein intermittent fast, eat til full. If still hungry eat a bit more. Give it time. There you go. I'm a researcher, carnivore and helped many many people lose weight. Eat like your ancestors. Don't need a part 2 or 3. You're welcome
Thanks
Thanks, Doc, but how do I crack my mask if I'm asleep?
Great video!
very helpful..thank you so much
ETT depth is always measured in centimeters from the central incisors, not millimeters. Of course, this was just a simple mistake but it is a massive one.
